Henry Stands
Sooo... Henry can't crawl just yet, but he's got enough power in his legs to stand with limited assistance. We fear that he may be walking sooner than expected.

On The Move
I keep telling my mom, who will be here in 5 days!, that he will either be crawling by the time she gets here, or definitely when she's leaving! He's getting so close! I'm so excited for him, but at the same time I keep thinking "This is the last time he'll be a tiny baby that doesn't move all over the place!" My sweet Henry is growing up so fast!

Crying it out is hard on the ears.
So we're working on getting Henry to go to bed on his own. It's awful. As I'm writing now he's screaming upstairs "Mama! AAAAAAAAA! Mama!AAAAAAAAAA" Talk about a guilt trip! "Mama" ? Really, Henry? Only when you cry? Boo. We've tried to let him cry for 20-30 minutes, go rock and cuddle for 30, repeat. He used to be out by ten minutes in the rock, but that wore off and now he just cries through that too. So we're trying the jerk method. He's just going to cry until he's done. So far it had been a screeching 25 minutes. I didn't realize how frustrating this part of parenting can be. Henry is very strong willed at times, and that usually comes out at nap/sleep time. You just feel helpless as a parent while you sit and wait for him to fall asleep. A little NyQuil anyone? It's now been 30 minutes. There are little breaks, but he'll start back up again. Please dear Lord, hear my prayer- give that poor baby a good night's rest! And if You are just handing 'em out, I'll take one too!
ooh- 35 minutes.... and it's quiet.... for now!

Time Square!
Friday we decided to pack up Saturday morning and head to the Big Apple! It was our first spur-of-the-moment trip with Henry, but we think he really didn't mind at all! He was such a great kid! He spent alot of the time asleep in his stroller, but when he was awake he was studying EVERYTHING!
This is the view from our room! It was amazing!
This is Henry's first time at Bubba Gumps. We used to each there alot in Monterey, and I thought we wouldn't have the chance again but it was 1/2 a block from our hotel! Yea!

More big day!
Today we had to go to Virginia to the Army Navy Country Club for Rob to receive and award from the Air Force. This was Henry's first official Air Force event!
This is the acting Chief of Staff of the entire Air Force! That's the top guy. Yeah, those are three stars on his shoulder... :) It was a big honor for Rob to receive this award and Henry and I are very proud of him!
And this is how we finished the night. Covered in oatmeal. Henry has finally started to enjoy his new food! Tonight was hilarious, because I would give Henry a bite, he would stuff his fist in his mouth and then hang it over the side, and Ollie would come and lick it clean! It was as gross as it sounds!! He thought it was very funny!
Henry's big day!
This is a picture of Henry and I tonight. Henry was laying on the floor on his tummy, like the Dr. ordered, crying. Rob got down on the ground with him and I was on the couch. I swear Henry looked at me in the middle of his fit and said clear as a bell "Mama!" and then went back to crying! Needless to say I yanked him up off the ground and he never has to go back if he doesn't want to :)

Henry can't give up the bottle!
After a very enlightening Dr.'s visit today we learned the original Dr. told us the exact opposite from what the specialists want us to do for Hank's constant puking. This includes, but is not limited to, cereal!
Here's Henry's first round with cereal:
Have you ever seen anyone this stressed out from a little mush?
We'll try again tomorrow, and hope it goes better!
