Smoke stacks at the factory

This past weekend we took a little day trip through Pennsylvania! It is a beautiful state with lots of greenery, big hills, and lots of space. We intended to just go and see Hershey, PA but because it was Sunday and it's Quaker-ville, everything but the park was closed. It was still fun to see the town. It was really cute!

Show me those pearly whites!

On Friday I was putting orajel in Henry's mouth to calm him down (he's been drooling and teething for months now) and realized he had a little shard sticking out in the center of his bottom gum! The next day, TWO little shards! And today both of his bottom teeth are sticking right out of his gum. So now he has a fang, and two 1/2 teeth! He won't let me show them to you though. He tightens up that bottom lip any time you try to see inside of his mouth. And if you pass that barrier, he sticks his tongue over the gums so you can't see them! He's a tricky guy! But we'll be home in two weeks and you can see them in person.

Henry's a swinger!

We took Henry out to the swings in the park across the street today!

At first he wasn't so sure about it...

But then he relaxed and realized it was super fun!

Tomorrow our friend Dan leaves to return to Iraq and serve his country. Dan's going to be gone for the next 6 months, and we just want to send out a request for prayer for him, his wife Arlena, and their children Logan, Tori, Seth, and Paige.

Dan, we love you. We already miss you! Godspeed and good luck friend.

Outside

We took Henry outside and took a few pictures of him this afternoon. I'm still trying to figure my camera out so it helps that Henry and Rob are such good sports!

Holy Cow!

As I was entering in the previous post I heard Rob calling me from Henry's room. Imagine my suprise when I saw THIS!!!

Laugh it up funny man!

Henry is pulling himself up on everything, but this was his first time to pull himself up in his bed! So about 5 months sooner than I expected to, I spent the last 30 minutes lowering his bed and turning it so that the drop rail faces the wall now. This kid is going to be unstoppable!

Henry's new toy!

So tonight Rob and I took Henry to Once Upon a Child and let him test out some new toys. He settled on a groovy new walker, which is very entertaining for all because he thinks it should bounce like the jumperoo does so he bounces in the seat while he's scooting around! I'll post a video of it soon.
It's so much fun to be able to hang out with him all the time. Tiring, but fun. He turn 7 months old this weekend. That doesn't even seem real to me. He's brilliant, and huge, and is testing independence and going through a severe case of seperation anxiety at the same time. He's very funny, and entertaining, and extremely cuddly. He's actually been taking naps for about two weeks now. And yes that is naps plural. 2 a day! Most of the time they average an hour to an hour and a half each, which is totally mind blowing for me but also extremely great. We actually have clean dishes and laundry now so that's a bonus! So things are looking good for now and I'll be posting video soon.
