Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!

Months and months ago we bought Henry this little wooden train set from IKEA. Lately he has been VERY interested in it and loves coming down to the basement to build tracks by himself and then drag the little trains around. He's really good at it!
We decided to get a set to take with us to Grammy's house and since we were near IKEA today Rob ran in while Henry and I sat in the car. My husband is quite the over achiever (ask our niece) and instead of just buying the train tracks for Grammy's he bought an extra set of tracks with bridges, splitters, and a new set of train cars for our house too!! This is what Henry woke up to from his nap and just kept saying "Whoa! Whoa! WHOA!" over and over again!

Henry and Spaghetti

"Don't play with your food" - Not in our house! Henry likes to have a fork or spoon accessible to him, but he doesn't always like to use it! Last night he tried to eat his noodles with a fork, but gave up and dug in.

Practicing his MAD face

So these are a little gross. Having a little boy is a little gross too!

Henry and Our Bed

I was down stairs the other day and Henry went up stairs (which he does a lot so that he can play with the toys in his room) but it was too quiet for too many minutes so I went up to check on him and this is what I saw.

Henry loves to get in 'Mama's bed' all the time! Especially right after I make it and the pillows are all lined up nice and neat. He'll climb up and tunnel through the throw pillows to get 'nice and snuggawy.' It used to bother me to have him undo something I just did, but live and let live, right? How could I turn down this handsome face anyway?!

Henry and Katy

Henry woke up the other day and said "MeYOW Mama. I'm a kitty." I told him that was nice and asked him what he wanted for breakfast and he said "No. I want that kitty!" and pointed to his cubby stand in the corner. On the top was Katy Kitty. For those of you who don't know Katy, she was a gift to me when I was five years old and has been beloved since then. I have kept her stored away since Henry was born, because it doesn't seem like a very boyish toy and because I didn't want to see him mess her up. I would hate for him to meet the same fate as Bear... But he found her, and now he loves her and that makes me very happy! As I write this she is tucked safely in his crib and I'm sure she is very glad to be snuggled every night once more.

Henry and the Muffin

Henry loves blueberry muffins. He wants them all the time! I broke down and bought a big box from Sam's so that they were always handy and it has proven to be a pretty sound investment. Unfortunately, Henry eats muffins like a pig! He just crams and smashes the thing into his mouth and ends up covered (and surrounded by) crumbs!

This is a sight I love to see!!!

And these are my two favorite boys!

Crazy Awesome!

Today Henry has been so silly!! He was jumping all over the couch and having the best time.

He's growling at me!

My all time favorite kid!

Be Mine Valentine!

We had a great Valentine's Day here in the cold, cold East!
Henry's decided recently that his favorite color is brown. When he goes potty and gets an M&M he always wants a brown one so his present was a little themed.

Brown M&Ms are not all that popular in an ordinary M&M bag so we got him a big bag of just brown ones! He was very excited! Of course today when he pottied he said "I want brown and green!" There really is no pleasing him :)

And these 'moosies' were a total fluke! They just happened to be hanging out at the Bass Pro Shop (a favorite hang out of Henry's) and they're brown!

Sweet Henry

Henry is, I'll just say it, the greatest kid ever! I might be a little biased, but it's my blog so really what do you expect?
He just walked up to me gave me a kiss and a pat on the shoulder and said "I have the best Mama in the world." and walked off to play with his train! I love this baby!

Snow Dayssssss

These are some of our fabulous neighbors that helped dig us out!!! They are the greatest group and proof positive that this is where we were meant to be. We absolutely love them!Oh, yeah you see that maze looking thing? That's the middle of our street after a day of melting and compacting!!

This is how Rob spent his birthday Sunday. He's the second in a line of 3 snow blowers! Way to ring in 28 Babe!

Our sidewalk after our awesome neighbors bailed us out with the snow blowers!!

This is just a silly face eating Oreos.

And this is just a silly face!!

I like my blizzards with M&Ms.

This is a monster of a snow storm!! We have literally been under a blizzard warning since yesterday evening. This morning I opened the blinds in Henry's room and saw the evergreen trees, probably about 20 feet tall, were bent over under the weight of the snow and laying on our cable line. In a preemptive strike Rob and I threw on an extra layer and went out to shake the trees clean and get them to stand back up.
This one is actually from the snow that fell last weekend. We've decided that Henry probably shouldn't go out in this one until at least tomorrow. It is WAY too deep!!
This is Rob shaking the trees clean.
The snow is SO deep! Rob's a tall boy and it's still hitting him mid-thigh in most places. Our drive way is up to my bottom!
He's crazy awesome.
Ollie hates her life right now.

Calling for Snow

Last Saturday the snow started coming down and we got between 5-7 inches by Sunday morning. This past Tuesday the snow started and dropped an additional 5 inches. I'm thinking that is substantial. Apparently I think wrong! We are expected to get up to 2 FEET of snow in the next 48 hours!! Pictures to come!
