Henry has gone cordless!

My baby has taken his first step into big kid-hood. He lost his tiny cord last night! Rob and I were very excited, but also a little sad. Already he's hitting milestones! I guess there's no stopping progress. His little belly button is so cute! I have yet to find something about him that isn't cute though. He's such a sweet blessing. I am amazed that God has trusted us with him. Right now Rob is rocking him and talking to him about life. They are so cute together! Rob is the best daddy. He is so gentle and patient and willing to learn how to do everything. He's been at every bath time, he knows how to make a formula bottle and heat up a breast milk bottle, change diapers, and get him into his footie pjs!
I love my new family. I love that I get to do this with Rob. I love that sweet Henry is ours.

Announcing Baby Henry!!

He's here!! He's adorable!! and he's already a week old!!!!! He was born january 3rd at 2:22 p.m weighing in at 8 lbs 3 oz, and 21 inches long! I can't believe that he's already been in the world for a week. I am so very much in love with him. He is the greatest baby ever! He sleeps all the time, which I know could change in a heart beat, but it's awesome now! He only woke up twice last night to eat! I was really worried that he was going to have a rough night because he slept so much yesterday, and today is my first day on my own, but he did great. I have had Em with me for a week now, which has been so much fun and she was so great. I feel so blessed to have such a sweet sister (who would have thought I would have called her that 10 years ago!) that would spend her time here helping Rob and I. And what a sweet brother-in-law and neice I have to share her time with us! Kyle and Maelie are very lucky to have her. I know Henry was very sad to see her go! He almost woke up for it... : ) We can't wait to go home next weekend to see everybody again. For some reason my computer doesn't have his pictures uploaded, so i'll edit this with them later from Rob's. He's too cute not to see : )

10 hours and counting...

I am currently 10 hours from d-day! I can't believe it's here. I have to be in the hospital to be induced at 3 am! And then it's anybody's guess as to how long this can go. I've read about women who are induced and then 4 hours later they have the baby, and then there are some that are induced and it takes many, many more hours... I'm hoping I'm one of the former women. Nine months is a long time to carry around this massive tummy, but it's also a looong time to wait to see sweet Henry! I am so excited to see his face tomorrow!! And then we go home and our family begins.... SCARY!!!! A good scary, but still scary. I'll be switching to a different blog when we get home from the hospital that will be dedicated to Henry instead of my crazy ramblings. I'll email out that blog name when I get it set up.
Wish me luck....

Happy New Year

So 2007 is a thing of the past, and 2008 is the now. And with it it brought no Henry. Boo. Oh well, what's 2 more days? Rob and I had a very quiet evening watching the Planet Earth dvd set (very cool by the way) and waiting to see if the contractions went anywhere. They didn't. But now we can say 'it's 2008. It's the year of the Henry!' I can't believe he will be born this year. I really can't believe it will be in 2 days. We are so excited to see him! That's probably an understatement. Rob's been having dreams about him for months now. I think it's more about having a reason to kepp those stinkin' GI Joes around a little longer more than anything else, but it's cute.
My family comes in tomorrow to help get us pumped for the big day! I can't wait to see everyone. Especially, the Maelie. She is so funny! I can't believe she is so big and smart. Em says they were going to the store to pick something up for me and Mae said 'Choppin Sasey? Choppin Henee?' She knows we're a package deal. I can't wait to see her when she meets him. I'm excited to see how much of him she 'gets'. I hope this baby thinks about Rob as much as she does! Em says she's completely taken with him. She will say 'Good Geif Papa!' 'Good Geif Dada!' 'Good Geif BOB!' She's so great. We love her so much. I hope this baby is half as much fun as she is! I guess we will soon find out...
