I was so excited to get Henry in his spaceman jammies. I thought they were a 6, but they were a 3 so they should have fit perfectly. Instead, Henry's foot tried making a break for it and the market piggy made it out!

Tomorrow is eleven?!

Holy cow! I'll say it again, Holy Cow! Tomorrow is eleven days until Henry and I go back to Dallas. Let me tell you I am excited about going home to see everyone. And especially excited to take Maelie to see the big animals, but I haven't even thought of the logistics. Am I asking for trouble? You bet! I typically go into every situation with as little preparation as possible (or so it seems) so I'm confused by this new feeling sweeping over me as I think about packing for myself and a kid that throws up 87 times a day for 9 days. I think they call this feeling panic. Add in bottles, pacis, diapers, back up clothes for weird weather and my head is positively spinning! Look out friends and family, this train wreck is about to commence!

My first Mother's Day!

These were actually taken at the end of the day. I am so blessed to have Henry in my life. Thank you sweet baby for letting me be your Mommy. It's the best job I've ever had!

Henry's gone GREEN! This is one of my new favorite onsies. It's 100% organic from WalMart, so hey 'Go Earth!', but I like it because it says 'Be Nice to Your Mama'

4 month check up today!

Henry went in for his four month check up today, and other than some really yucky reflux (which is going to send us to Walter Reed for an appointment with a specialist) he's doing great! He's in between 50-75% of weight and 75 for height, and 90% for that giant noggin! He weighs in at a respectable 15 lbs, 7 1/2 oz and 25 1/4 inches tall! He can roll from his back to his tummy over either side like its nothing, and sits with little support!
It is amazing how big and strong he's getting. Watching him figure things out, like grasping things and holding his own hands is so exciting for all of us! We can't believe how blessed we are to have such a healthy, strong little monster! We also can't believe there are only 20 days until we get to see everyone again! Yea!!

4 months old!

This is Henry yesterday on his 4 month birthday! He got a new Hop on Pop bear from Grandpa David and he loves it!

Yesterday evening we took Henry to his first soccer game to watch JonJon and Mary. Look! He's a natural!

"Why won't you go in my mouth?!"

Henry has found his foot, and he's thrilled with it! He won't sit up in his Bumbo chair anymore because of this new discovery. Every time I sit him in it he slouches over to grab at his foot. He's not quite coordinated enough to get it, but when he does... watch out world!

Henry's visitor! He took to Beth Anne like a duck to water! He especially likes the game where he would tug on her hair!

Now, we were slightly disappointed with the comment count from the last posting. Henry's feelings are a little bruised. I assured him that you must all have been very busy, but you'll make up for it this time.

This is Henry in his big boy bed!! His friends came to keep him company for his first night!

This is his room right now. It's a work in progress, but we have the bed made up for visitors so come on up!!

While Grammy was here we took the jumparoo outside so Henry could hang out while we ate. He spent most of the time sucking on the frog seat!

Two days is Too short!

Henry's Grammy came and spent the last 48 hours with us and we had a great time. She got some Henry time, and mom and dad got to pick up the house a little bit. Win, win. We were so sad to take Grammy back to the airport, but now we're counting down the days until we get to come home and see everybody else!

A day in the sun

This is Henry enjoying a lazy day outside. It was really bright out so Rob and I stood in front of him to block it so that he would open his eyes. It looks like he appreciated it!

He's so big!

The following video proves it! Today is one of the proudest days of Rob and my lives. It was so exciting to see Henry's big accomplishment! I can't believe how strong and smart and big he's getting, and how quick it's all happening! My baby can roll over! I am amazed at him. We just watch in awe over his every movement. He's growing more everyday and it's amazing to be a part of it. I feel so blessed to watch Henry and cheer him on. It makes me wonder if this is how God feels about us. Watching His children and cheering us on to grow in Him. I can only hope He's half as proud of what He sees in us.

The Birthday Girl!

Has it really been two years since this sweet face made her appearance?! I remember the day (night) Maelie was born. It was so exciting to know she was coming and so frantic trying to get to Ft. Worth before she was born! The minute I saw her I loved her. She was such a beautiful baby with the most precious little mouth and button nose! What a blessing that day was!

Maelie was so funny at her first birthday party! She was far more interested in visiting than opening presents. She's such a social butterfly! Rob and I were so excited to get to come home and be apart of her big day. It was so great to see her walking!

And here she is now! Grammy took this when she woke up this morning. I love Maelie so much and hope she has the best second birthday ever!!

He's back!

Day 3

So I have worked for 2 days and this is where I stand. Yuck. However, there are only 10 unopened boxes left in the house! I feel that is an accomplishment. And yes, that is Henry asleep in the carseat on the couch. My feeling is 'if he's asleep, let him be!'

I don't know what 'let him be' means...
